Mr Arnaud Dupont introduced Essilor Korea, a company who produces lenses and glasses. Essilor has also a factory in Incheon.
Essilor International
Founded in 1972, Essilor International is world leader in ophthalmic optics. From design to manufacture, Essilor creates lenses for all types of visual disorders: myopia, hypermetropia, presbyopia, stigmatism.
The group’s know-how also covers the manufacture and sale of optical instruments (mainly machines used to edge finished lenses and diagnose visual disorders). This line of work accounts for 5% of the group’s turnover.
The Essilor group has a very extensive and homogenous distribution network. Manufacture facilities, laboratories, subsidiaries and distribution centers have been established so as to meet any demand within a very short timeframe.
Varilux®, Crizal®, Airwear®… So many brands that contribute to Essilor’s success. All genuine ambassadors of the group throughout the world, they stand for quality.

A company of Essilor Korea is joint venture together, and made a contract on 2002.12.16 as the established company, with Samyoung Trade Company which is domestic listed enterprise and France Essilor International S.A. which company is the first enterprise of business of glasses internationally. The Company of Essilor Korea has been hand over business of the glasses and lens by the existing domestic company of glasses and lens manufacturer NEW TOPEX CO,LTD ,and CHEMIGLAS. Thus, the company could manufacture of lens casting and RX, processing polishing and colouring, hard & multi coating and so forth through high-tech optical equipment in the world as in the first quality and develop to sell and supply to everywhere in the world. In addition, Essilor supplies and makes an exclusive sale of progressive lens(Varilux) and Nikon Lens(Nikon-Essilor)

May 27. Mr. Arnaud Dupont had visited to explain about to the ESSILOR and ESSILOR KOREA. He had to explain about companies and products. He showed us many interesting advertisements about the companies and products. So, we had understood very well. During the preparing for presentation, we had many questions because material was too much. But, after listening to the explanation of Mr. Arnaud Dupont, we could understand all of that. It was an interesting time to us. And after the presentation, we have taken a diner with Mr.Arnaud Dupont, so we have told about him and his work. Thanks to him, we got many interesting information about one of famous French enterprise.
